Prayer Update

Dear Praying Friends,

It has been awhile since I have written to update you on the happenings here at Bible Time. September is normally a quiet month as we finalize records and review the summer. October brings many trips for me as I travel to various colleges to recruit young men to be Evangelists. The Lord has given us several good applicants for next summer. Please pray that I will have wisdom in finding and choosing just the right young men to be part of the team next summer.

This Thursday and Friday I have been at a church convention in Katy, Texas. I have had the privilege of meeting and speaking with several pastors who had Bible Time in their churches this past summer. Praise the Lord for the great reports from each pastor. It was encouraging to hear from these pastors about the impact that Bible Time had on their church.

It is often easy to just think about the children who accept Christ as Savior through the rallies and forget about the impact that Bible Time can have on the lives of children who are already saved. While at the convention, I was reminded of this fact when I met a little boy who is eight years old and has attended Bible Time rallies for the last few summers. His life has been greatly impacted by the Evangelists who have ministered at his church. One year the young men stayed in his home and the Rally Time Evangelist drew him a picture and made him balloon animals before he left. This happened two summers ago, but this little boy still has the picture hanging above his bed and talks about the Evangelist frequently. This little boy's mother shared with me what a difference Bible Time has made in her son's life. Just last week he decided that he wants to be an NBT Evangelist when he grows up. I was able to talk with this young boy and give him a Bible Time rope so that he could work toward being a Bible Time Evangelist - in about eleven years!

It is a joy to hear these testimonies and know that God is still using Bible Time to work in the lives of children and families. I am so thankful that the Lord has given me the privilege of being part of this work.

We covet your continued prayers, specifically for Evangelist recruitment, our board meeting in January, scheduling of rallies for 2010, preparation of our materials, our finances, and oversees outreach. Most of all, we covet your prayers for wisdom and leading from the Lord. We must have His hand upon this ministry in order to be effectively used for His glory.

Thank you for your prayers.
